“My dark days made me strong- Or maybe I was already strong, and the darkness made me prove it.” Emery Lord
Many believe expressing your feelings is a sign of weakness, creating a stigma surrounding mental health. However, the exact opposite is true! Knowing when to ask for help shows courage, strength, and wisdom. Physical and emotional health are tightly intertwined. When we know precisely what is wrong, we can face the problem head-on, allowing us to see firsthand that knowledge is power! Evaluation and assessment are KEY.
As a therapist, I pray diligently for my clients, calling them by name to gain empowerment through therapy, building upon a future of hope. As a Psychiatric Social Worker and now a Clinical Mental Health Counselor, I have worked with clients who were so bogged down in feelings of sadness and despair that they could barely put together the words to form a coherent sentence. As someone who has also struggled with this same sense of darkness through post-partum depression with anxiety, I get it!
Specializing in emerging adults ages sixteen and up, I treat issues related to depression, anxiety, self-esteem, suicidal ideation, poor coping skills, and relationship conflicts. I have advanced training in perinatal and postpartum education and support.
Please contact me to schedule a free initial consultation. I look forward to listening to your story and helping you take the first step toward living your most blessed life!
